I was attempting to replace the thermal paste on my Ryzen 9 5900X CPU. After unscrewing the cooling block, the NZXT Kraken Z73 came off with the CPU attached. I noticed one pin was bent when checking for damage. I tried to clean the thermal paste using isopropyl alcohol, but some got onto the pin. I cleaned that off with an alcohol pad, straightened the pin, and reinserted the CPU into the motherboard. However, after putting everything back together, my PC won't boot at all. The motherboard has power, but pressing the power button does nothing.

Did you make sure the CPU was completely dry before reinserting it? Also, double-check that the pins are properly aligned and straight. Sometimes, it's easy to miss a detail that could keep your system from booting. If everything looks good, you might want to try reseating it one more time just to be sure.

Yeah, make sure there are no stray fibers or dust left on the CPU or socket that could interfere. Sometimes, even a tiny piece can cause issues!
