I was about to go to bed and turned off my PC, but I realized I needed to upload something, so I powered it back on. After it fully loaded, I plugged in my phone, and then my PC shut down. This isn't the first time it's happened; it's shut off about four times already, but I've always managed to turn it back on. However, this time I saw a white flash inside the tower and now my PC won't start at all. I built this rig for $5000 back in June 2025, and everything was brand new. It's my first build, and I've been dealing with freezing issues for a couple of months, but now it's completely unresponsive. I'm unsure if the problem lies with the motherboard, GPU, RAM, or PSU. I have a 1200W power supply, which should suffice for my components: a 5090 GPU and a 9950x3D CPU, along with 32GB of RAM and a couple of SSDs.

That white flash isn't a good sign at all. It sounds like something in your power supply might have popped. Even with a 1200W PSU, if it’s a cheaper model or had a defect, it could fail dramatically. The timing of the shutdown when you plugged in your phone suggests there could have been a power surge or short. Did you plug your phone into a front panel USB or the motherboard USB? Either way, it’s likely time to RMA your PSU since that's probably the culprit here.

I plugged it into the front panel. It's happened before, like twice when I plugged my phone in, and once while I was gaming. But oddly, it didn't shut down during heavy tasks, just random moments. I'm checking the reviews of my PSU, and it seems like some people have had issues too.
