I decided to tweak my BIOS settings and increased my clock frequency, thinking it would make my PC run faster. Now, my PC powers on, but the screen doesn't recognize the HDMI connection. I've already tried resetting the BIOS using the clear RTC method, but it hasn't helped. I suspect it might be related to my graphics cards, but I'm not very experienced with this stuff. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Make sure to connect your monitor to the motherboard’s HDMI port instead of the GPU. If you initially had it plugged into the GPU incorrectly, that could cause issues. Check both connections and see if you get a boot signal.
Consider doing another CMOS reset. If your motherboard has onboard graphics, try using them instead of the dedicated GPU to see if that makes a difference. Sometimes that can help isolate the issue.
I attempted a CMOS reset but I'm not sure I executed it correctly. I took the battery out and put it back after discharging it. Should I try again?
Honestly, it’s a bit risky tweaking BIOS settings if you're not fully familiar with the options. It’s a lesson learned! For future tweaks, I’d suggest doing some research first, so you know what changes are safe. Remember, there's not much to gain for an average user when it comes to overclocking.
I hear you. Just hoping to get some actual help here instead of lectures!
First, try removing the power cable, open up your case, and take out the CMOS battery for a couple of minutes. After that, put the battery back in and power it up. If the BIOS is set to XMP1, that could help too, but leave the other settings alone.
Got it! I’ll give that a shot and see what happens.

Tried that too—it still says no signal. Am I totally fried?
