I recently added a Samsung 990 Pro 1TB M.2 SSD to my PC for extra storage. Everything was working great at first—set it up and even installed some games on it without any issues. However, the next day, when I tried to boot my PC, it went straight into recovery mode. The error code was 'xc000000e' with a mention of 'winload.efi'. I then created a bootable USB using Microsoft's Media Creation Tool, but it still wouldn't boot properly. I managed to boot once, but it was slow and froze when I tried to do anything. Now, I'm stuck in recovery mode again, and even trying to select different boot devices isn't solving the problem. I've removed the M.2 SSD, but I'm still having the same boot issues. Any advice would be helpful. Thanks!

It sounds like you might need to check your BIOS settings. Go into the BIOS and make sure that your SATA SSD with Windows is set as the first boot device. Sometimes the boot order gets switched around when you add new drives.
Honestly, it might also be that the SATA SSD is nearing failure. It’s a bummer, but if there's data on it that you really need, do some troubleshooting before you consider replacing it.
Glad to hear reseating the SATA cable worked for you! Sometimes even a slight disconnection can cause these types of boot issues.
This could be a loose connection since you just installed that new SSD. Try reseating the SATA cable and even switching to a different SATA port on your motherboard. Also, check that the power cable from your PSU is properly connected. It worked for someone else in a similar situation!
Make sure you have backups of your important data, as changes like this can lead to data loss. If you're able to access Windows or Safe Mode, check for dump files in C:WindowsMinidump; those can help diagnose any BSOD issues.
