Help! My PC Won’t Boot After Upgrading RAM

I'm in desperate need of assistance! I have a B450M Steel Legend motherboard and was previously using a single stick of 8GB DDR4 3600MHz RAM from Asgard. Today, I decided to upgrade to a pair of Corsair Vengeance LPX sticks (2x16GB, also DDR4 3600MHz). I installed them in the second and fourth slots (A2 and B2), but now when I power on my PC, it just loops with no display. It stays on for about 40 seconds before restarting. I even tried reinstalling the old RAM, but it's doing the same thing now. I'm not sure what went wrong!

Sounds like your PC might be doing memory training. Sometimes when you change RAM configurations, the system needs time to adjust. I recommend taking a break and letting it run for a bit; it can be a little unnerving if you’re not familiar with it!

Should I leave both sticks in for the memory training process, or just one? I want to make sure I’m doing it right.

Yep! Just step away for a little while and let it handle the training process.

If that's not it, try removing the RAM and clearing the CMOS before putting it back in. If it still doesn’t work, it might be wise to return the Corsair RAM and look for a different brand.

How do I clear the CMOS?
