I've been using a Ryzen 5 3600 with a 3060Ti for about four years, and lately, I've noticed some games aren't performing as well as they used to. While I know the CPU is causing some bottlenecking since I game at 1080p, I'm looking to upgrade my processor first before I eventually upgrade my graphics card. I've considered options like the Ryzen 7 5800X3D, 7800X3D, and Ryzen 9 CPUs but I'm unsure which would be a significant upgrade that can last me for several more years. What do you all recommend? Also, I realize that an upgrade might require me to get a new motherboard and heatsink, so any advice on that would be appreciated. Thanks!

If you're looking for a budget-friendly upgrade, I suggest the Ryzen 7 5700X3D if you can find it for around $200. It's a solid option that can give you a boost without breaking the bank.

What can you tell me about the AM5 platform?
