Help! My PC Won’t Boot After Windows 11 Update

My wife recently did a Windows update on her PC (choosing 'Update and shut down'), but now it won't boot into Windows. When I attempt to repair the current Windows installation, it says it can't detect Windows. I tried rolling back the quality update successfully, but I couldn't roll back the features update.

Then, I attempted a clean install of Windows 11 using a USB stick, but it told me my PC doesn't meet the specs, which is odd because it has been running Windows 11 perfectly fine for about a year. I even reset the CMOS battery and tried various steps, but nothing worked.

I have a new SSD ready to go, so I'm considering installing Windows on that if necessary. I'm wondering if Windows is corrupt or if the SSD might be faulty. Fingers crossed it's not the motherboard! Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

It sounds like your PC may have updated to version 24h2, which has stricter hardware requirements. You might want to skip this update and try installing Windows 11 using updated tools like Ventoy or Rufus with the bypass check enabled. If your system is older (pre-10th gen Intel or Ryzen 3000), you should stick to version 23h2 or below. This might resolve the issues you're facing.

True! Also, consider using InControl to prevent future version updates if you're running into too many issues.
