I accidentally dropped my processor while cleaning, and it fell about 3 feet onto tile. There are some chips on the top of the processor, but I checked and there are no bent pins. After I repasted and reassembled everything, my PC refused to boot when both RAM sticks are installed. Interestingly, it works perfectly when I boot with each RAM stick alone. Does anyone have suggestions on how to fix this issue or any workarounds?

First off, make sure there are absolutely no bent pins or missing parts on the CPU. I wouldn’t recommend taking the CPU out of its socket unless you’re upgrading or absolutely need to. If everything looks good and resetting the CMOS doesn’t help, you might be dealing with an internal fracture in the CPU, and in that case, you’d probably need to replace it.
Have you tried using both RAM sticks in one channel? On your motherboard, the slots closest to the CPU are one channel while the ones further away are another. It’s worth a shot to test them that way!
