I accidentally spilled a small amount of soda on my PC back in December, which caused my power supply to break. After replacing the power supply, I also bought a new hard drive and some new SATA cables. However, when I connect the hard drive, my PC doesn't detect it at all. I've checked both the hard drive management settings and the BIOS, but there's no sign of it. Both hard drives spin, so I know they are functioning. Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this issue? I'm really in need of a solution since I've been without my PC for three months now!

It sounds like your SATA controller might be fried since you had that soda spill. I'd recommend trying different SATA ports on your motherboard; you might get lucky and find one that still works. Just because the hard drive is spinning doesn’t guarantee it's functioning properly, but since you have a new one, it’s more likely a motherboard issue than the drive itself.
If possible, try connecting the hard drive to another PC or use a different cable to see if that helps. It could be a compatibility issue or a faulty cable.
