I recently moved my PC to a different spot in my house, and now it won't boot up properly. Initially, the screen showed a red tint during the Windows startup sequence, but this only lasted a few seconds before it crashed. Afterward, I couldn't get any display at all. The GPU lights up, so it seems powered, but I'm at a loss for what to do next. I've double-checked all the cable connections, reseated the GPU, and even removed the motherboard battery to reset the BIOS. I really need some advice on how to diagnose or fix this issue! Since you're seeing the Windows logo initially, there might be a few potential issues. Can you share your PC's specs? That could help narrow down what's going wrong.
Have you tried using the integrated graphics on your CPU? If it has a built-in graphics port, remove the GPU and connect the display cable to your motherboard’s video output. That could help identify if the problem lies with the GPU or somewhere else.
I see a video output option on the motherboard, but I don’t have a DisplayPort cable to test it with.
Sure! It's a prebuilt Alienware from a buddy; it has an i7-770 processor, a Gigabyte 3070 GPU, 32GB of RAM, a 1TB SSD, and a 500GB HDD. I upgraded the GPU a couple of years ago, and it originally came with a 1080. Let me know if you need anything else!
