Help! My PC Won’t Start After Upgrading Motherboard and CPU

I recently upgraded my PC with a new motherboard and CPU, specifically a Ryzen 9 5950X and a B550 Steel Legend. My power supply is a CX450M, and after plugging everything in, the fans and RGB lights turn on, but the power indicator light on the case isn't lit, meaning the PC doesn't seem to boot up. I've unplugged and rearranged parts in various combinations, but nothing is working. I'm not sure what steps to take next, and any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Check if there are any debug lights on your motherboard. They usually indicate issues. Also, if there are any codes, you can refer to the motherboard manual to see what they mean. For your Ryzen 5000 series CPU, make sure the BIOS is at least version 1.20.

I've been looking for debug lights but couldn’t find any. I checked thoroughly for about 10 minutes but it was all dark.

Have you tried flashing the BIOS on your motherboard? Sometimes a BIOS update is necessary for newer CPUs to work properly. Just be aware that if your system isn't posting, you might need to check if the motherboard supports your CPU version first.

I haven't done that yet. I’ll look up how to flash the BIOS. Are there other things I should check while I'm at it?

Just a heads up, if you can't get it to post, you may face issues updating the BIOS since it often needs a working system.
