I've been working with Linux for a few years now, and I fully switched to Arch, which I love! I've got a solid grasp on gaming, networking, and documentation. However, I'm currently in a system integration trainee program, and sadly, most of my time is spent on Windows. I'm looking to advance my skills in admin tasks and training for typical activities required in this field. I completed a guided home study for the LPIC, but I feel like I still have a lot to learn. I'm interested in simulating clients and servers using something like VMware, but I'm unsure where to begin. How can I simulate multiple users with different scenarios? Also, getting real-life experience before applying for internships would be super helpful. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

You might also want to ask for advice in forums specific to Red Hat or other Linux distributions. Experienced users in those communities can provide you with valuable guidance, even if you're feeling a bit off-topic.
To simulate clients and servers effectively, you need to start with a hypervisor. I’d recommend looking into Proxmox as a solid option. I’ve been using it for years and found it to be user-friendly compared to VMware, which can get pretty pricey. Plus, many smaller businesses are making the switch to Proxmox lately, so it's definitely worth considering.
If you’re also diving into networking, check out GNS3. It’s excellent for simulating entire networks with VMs and containers as servers. It could really help as you learn the ropes!
