I need some advice about my computer after it went through some crazy power outages while I was out of town. My brother used it to game while I was gone, and he mentioned the power flickered around 20 times due to a storm and work by Georgia Power. When I got back, I noticed all my apps went into "efficiency mode" and they would crash unexpectedly—things like Google Chrome and SignalRGB would just stop working without warning.
Things escalated to constant BSODs (blue screens of death) a few weeks later. I tried to reset Windows completely, but it crashed during the installation at 2% and now my PC goes into a boot loop. When I try powering it on now, everything lights up, but I get no signal to my monitor, just a black screen. I'm at a loss for what to do — could someone help me figure this out?

You might want to try reseating the GPU first. Make sure all power cables are securely connected. If you're still getting a black screen, try using the onboard graphics instead. If the monitor works with onboard graphics, your GPU might be the problem. Just make sure to test it with the GPU reseated and all cables checked!
It sounds like your PC is having some serious issues due to those power outages. One thing to check is your power supply; fluctuating power could have caused some damage. If you feel comfortable, consider testing the power supply to see if it's working correctly. If it’s not supplying enough power, that could explain the crashing and lack of monitor signal. Good luck!
I reseated the GPU, and unplugging it allowed the monitor to show a standby screen, but when I plugged the GPU back in, the display went black again. Looks like the GPU might be the issue after all.
