I recently dropped my older PC while cleaning my desk, and now the USB ports aren't working, even though the computer still powers on just fine. I checked the motherboard for any visible damage, but I didn't find anything wrong. It was quite dusty, and everything was still plugged in when I dropped it. Has anyone experienced something similar? Any ideas on what could be wrong or how to fix it?

What kind of USB ports are we talking about? Is it just the ones on the front, or does it include the ones at the back that are directly on the motherboard? Understanding this could help.
I feel you! It’s such a hassle when not all USB ports work. If at least two of them were functional, it wouldn’t be as bad. Maybe check which specific ports are out; could help narrow things down.
You might consider two options: replacing the motherboard or just getting a USB hub. Just be sure the hub can handle your keyboard and mouse if you go that route.
Good point! Can a USB hub run both keyboard and mouse without issues?
It’s hard to diagnose without checking it in person, but if all the USB ports are dead except for one, it might indicate some motherboard damage. Make sure you clarify if it's just the front ports or the back ones too.
Actually, all the ports except one are broken.
If you're looking to replace the motherboard, I’d recommend checking compatibility with your Ryzen 3 2100G and GTX 1650 for the best options.
Yeah, I just wish more than one worked right now!
