Help! My Phone Screen Is Damaged and I Can’t Enter My Passcode

Hey everyone, I dropped my Moto edge 40 neo and the screen is damaged, making a section of it unresponsive to touch. The problem is that the damaged area covers the number keys 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9, so I can't unlock my phone by entering the passcode. I do have a replacement screen on the way, but it'll take some time to arrive. The good news is that my fingerprint and face unlock features are set up, but the phone still occasionally requires the passcode. Is there any way for me to enter the passcode remotely from another device, or can I somehow make use of the fingerprint/face unlock features? Any suggestions would be super helpful!

You could connect a USB mouse to your phone using an OTG cable. That would let you navigate the screen and enter your passcode without needing to touch the unresponsive parts of your screen. Just make sure you have the right adapter!

I don't have a USB-C mouse right now, but that's a great idea! If I can't unlock it another way, I might have to pick one up.

Good news! I managed to mirror my phone's screen using Smart Connect on my laptop, which allowed me to input my passcode that way. It’s a really useful workaround until your new screen arrives!

If your phone is still functioning, you can also try installing AnyDesk. It would let you control your phone from another device and input your PIN remotely. It’s worth a shot!
