Help! My Phone’s Parental Controls Are Locked After iOS Beta Update

I recently updated my phone to the iOS 26.0.1 beta version, and now it automatically enabled parental controls. I can't delete any apps or reset the screen time password, and it's super frustrating since I'm limited to 60 minutes of use. Does anyone have advice on how to fix this?

Well, if you're using beta software, that's one of the risks you take, right? You might want to check if you can unenroll from the beta program. That usually helps with these kinds of issues.

I get why you might go for beta — I love the new features too! But just remember it's not always stable.

You really should have done a backup before going beta. If you didn’t, you might need to do a factory reset through a computer to get back to the stable version. Can't you borrow a friend's PC or go to an Apple Store for help?

I’ve got a backup scheduled; I just need to wait to use my cousin’s PC!

I don't think Apple ruined your phone. It's more about the beta software you're using. Have you tried asking if you can unenroll from the beta?

But if I can't delete apps or get my faves back, what gives? This is not cool!
