I've been having a frustrating issue with my setup. I own an AMD RTX 7800 XT graphics card, and for the last couple of weeks, my second monitor has been unable to connect. This is unusual since I've never had problems before. It seems to show a brief connection before dropping out again.
To give you specifics, my main screen is an MSI G32CQ4, and my second monitor is an IIyama PLE2407HDS. I even made a couple of YouTube videos showing the issue:
1. https://youtu.be/sSSPgZiCOZs?si=vO1vfvCrDhG6Eu6I
2. https://youtu.be/elMTBMB8X0o?si=NUoJG6kDwlJgLTLk
I've tried replacing the HDMI cable for the older monitor and rolled back to an older driver version, but nothing has worked so far. Does anyone have any advice on how to resolve this? I've searched and can't find anyone else experiencing the same issue, so any help would really be appreciated!

First, I’d recommend trying to connect your main monitor to the second monitor's port by itself. If it works fine, that could indicate a problem with the second monitor itself. After that, reconnect your main screen without the second monitor and see if it still runs smoothly. If it does, your second monitor might be having issues with its control board, but if it doesn’t work without the second monitor, the problem may lie with your graphics card instead.
The situation with your setup sounds a bit tricky! Since your main monitor is on DisplayPort and the second one uses HDMI, it might be a compatibility issue. But since you've tested both monitors individually and they work, the problem might actually be in how the system handles multiple outputs. Have you checked to ensure that all the cables are firmly connected and that there are no settings in your graphics control panel affecting multiple monitor setups?
