Help! My SSD Just Disappeared After Installing a Game

Hey everyone! I was in the middle of installing a game on Steam when my SSD started acting really strange. At first, I could still see it, but anytime I tried to do anything like move files or launch apps, I kept getting errors. After I restarted my PC, the SSD completely vanished! It doesn't show up in File Explorer or even in Disk Management. Has anyone else dealt with this before? Is there a way to recover it, or should I just assume it's totally dead? Any advice would be super helpful!

Did you happen to update Windows 10 or 11 recently? There's been reports that the latest updates can mess with SSDs, especially those with the Phison controller, which a lot of NVMe SSDs use. You might want to try rolling back the update and seeing if that helps! There's more info about it out there on YouTube.

I just tried to uninstall the update, but my SSD still isn’t working. Does this mean it’s totally dead?
