I'm having some serious issues with my drives. I was playing a game when my drive suddenly crashed, and after I restarted my PC, it was completely gone. I thought my old HDD might be the culprit, so I bought a new SSD, but I'm still facing the same problem. I've tried various command line solutions I found online, and even switched SATA cables, buying new ones in the process. At one point, the SSD was detected by both my system and BIOS, but when I try to download games like Warzone, Steam crashes and then all my SSD files become inaccessible. After I restart my PC, the SSD is missing again. I can't tell if this is a hardware or software issue. Any thoughts?

Try plugging the SSD into a different SATA port and use another power connector from your PSU. It could be a motherboard or PSU issue.
Have you thought about trying a USB to SATA cable? Might help you see if the SSD crashes in a different setup.
Is the faulty HDD your boot drive? That might get you some clues about what's going on.

Yeah, I've tried switching SATA ports and cables. I even swapped PSU cables, and it sometimes detects, but if I download something big or leave it for a few days, it crashes again. It's pretty unusable.
