I was just about to hop on some games when I found out that my Steam account has been locked. Things have felt a bit off lately, like my PC has been slower than usual. Upon checking my TCP connections, I spotted something called 'Shadow Socks' alongside a suspicious .exe file. This is pretty concerning for me. Can anyone offer guidance on what steps I should take ASAP?

First things first, you should disconnect your computer from the internet right away! This will prevent any further access to your account. After that, change your passwords for Steam and any other accounts you think could be at risk. Make sure to log out of all sessions, and if you have Steam Guard set up on your mobile, use that.
It sounds like you might have a proxy running, which can be used for various purposes including bypassing security. Shadow Socks is typically used to help with internet privacy. But in your case, it’s definitely something to investigate further. I'd recommend checking your network settings and making sure no unauthorized apps are running.
So is it like an external server messing with my PC?

I just factory reset my PC to be safe.
