Help! My Tablet Got Liquid in the Charging Port – What Should I Do?

After experiencing a night terror, I accidentally peed myself while sleeping, and it got into the charging port of my Fire tablet. Now it's displaying a liquid warning and just shows the Fire logo on the screen. I shook it gently as advised, but I'm not sure what the next steps should be. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

If you want to try cleaning it, you can use electronic contact cleaner. It's safe for plastic and non-conductive, so you can spray it directly in the port. You should also clean your charging cables with it to be safe. Just be cautious!

Honestly, you might just need to consider getting a new tablet. Urine can be really conductive, and there’s a chance you’ve shorted out the charging circuit with that incident.

By the way, that Fire logo could mean your tablet’s in some sort of recovery mode. If it’s just sitting there with the logo and not doing anything, you might want to try restarting it after letting it dry out for a bit. Don't stress too much; we’ve all had our mishaps!
