I connected my Xbox controller to my PC, and right after that, I got a power surge warning. I quickly unplugged it, but now my keyboard and mouse aren't working at all. I even tried resetting the CMOS battery, but that didn't help. Does anyone have any ideas on what might be going on?

First, try unplugging all USB devices, including any hubs and controllers. After that, boot up your computer with nothing connected. Once you're in Windows, connect one device at a time to see which one might be causing the issues.
It sounds frustrating! Since your phone charges fine, it's possible that your keyboard might be broken. When your keyboard and mouse aren't responding, it definitely complicates troubleshooting, but keep trying to boot into Windows and see if anything else works.
