Help! My USB Drive Isn’t Recognized and I Can’t Transfer Files

I'm trying to transfer over 27GB of albums to my phone, but I'm having issues with my USB drive. It seems like there's something wrong with it, as I'm unable to copy files from it to my computer. I attempted to run the Windows USB repair tool, but it couldn't fix the drive either. Now, my computer isn't even recognizing the USB—it's not showing up in Disk Manager or anywhere else. Does anyone have suggestions on what I can do?

Are you trying to transfer 27GB straight from the PC to your phone? Make sure you're connecting correctly! Typically, plug the USB into your phone first, then the PC. Check your phone for a prompt to select 'file transfer'. Open up File Explorer on your PC, and navigate through to your phone's storage to copy your files. But be careful not to try transferring all 27GB at once—it's going to take ages! I recommend breaking it down into smaller batches.

My main issue is that I can't even access the files on the USB now because it doesn't show up on my computer at all.

It sounds like your USB might need to be reformatted, but be cautious—sometimes these drives can fail completely. For future references, USB drives are usually not reliable for long-term storage; they're better for short-term transfers. Just keep that in mind!
