I've been experiencing a drop in FPS on my gaming laptop, which typically runs games like Valorant at around 400 FPS when plugged in. However, after using it at a friend's house, I noticed the FPS plummeted to 6, even while connected to power. My laptop specs include an i5 13th-gen processor, an RTX 3050 6 GB graphics card, and 16 GB of RAM. I've done some troubleshooting already, like using MRT to check for malware, monitoring temperatures, trying different outlets, setting the performance to high, and looking at background processes. Despite these efforts, the issue persists. Any suggestions?

Hey there! Is the low FPS affecting only specific games or is it universal across the board? Also, what model of laptop do you have? Depending on the manufacturer, there might be a tool available to ensure the dedicated GPU is set as the primary graphics processor instead of the Intel integrated GPU. You can also check the NVIDIA control panel for these settings.
How can I force my dedicated GPU to be used?

My laptop is a Dell G15 Gaming notebook, and I've checked—this performance drop happens in almost all games I've tried.
