I'm in a bit of a jam! I have a project due tomorrow and I need to transfer a video from my Samsung phone to my Chromebook. The only way I can do this is through a USB connection, but I'm having trouble. The USB worked fine earlier today, connecting with notifications popping up, but now it simply won't be recognized by my phone. I'm using a USB to USB-C adapter, but whether I use it or not, the USB just doesn't show up on the phone. I've tried restarting my phone and using a different adapter, and I'm at a loss for what to do next. Also, I did try connecting both my phone and the USB to the Chromebook, but it didn't help since I still can't find the file I need. Any ideas?

Have you thought about using a cloud service like Google Drive or OneDrive? You could upload the video from your phone directly and then download it on your Chromebook. It might save you some headaches!
You might want to check out 'Phone Hub' for Chromebook. It can help manage file transfers between your phone and Chromebook more smoothly. Here's a link to the support page for it: support.google.com/chromebook/answer/9094445?hl=en
Thanks for the tip! I haven't tried that yet, but I'll definitely check it out.

I appreciate the suggestion! Unfortunately, I can only move the file through USB at the moment. I wish it were that easy.
