I'm having trouble resetting my Windows 10 PC. Every time I try to do a system restore, I get the error message that says "there was a problem resetting your PC. No changes were made." I've already uninstalled some big programs, checked for corrupt files, and ran a full virus scan. I'm on the latest Windows 10 updates.
Additionally, I've tried these commands to fix the issue:
- DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
- chkdsk C: /r /scan
- chkdsk /spotfix
I built this custom tower back in 2019 and it's got plenty of disk space— about 200GB free on my Samsung 970 EVO 500GB SSD. However, every attempt to reset just fails. It's forcing a local reset, and even trying to reset from the cloud doesn't work.
I also just bought a hard drive that I'll receive tomorrow with 16GB of space— any tips for using that effectively? I'd appreciate any help— thanks in advance!

You might want to try putting a Windows image on a flash drive. That way, you can completely format your drive first and then do a fresh install of Windows. This might solve your reset issue!
How do you completely format your drive before installing? What steps do I need to take to set up the Windows ISO?
