I've installed Windows 10 on my SSD just a few days ago, and then I added Manjaro to my system. Initially, I was able to boot into Windows without issues, though I had to enter the BIOS to boot into Linux. Recently, I've noticed a dual boot menu popping up that includes Manjaro and an older Windows installation on my HDD, which I don't need. I'm looking for ways to get my current Windows installation recognized without having to reinstall it. If I do need to reinstall Linux, that's an option, but I'd rather fix this without going through that hassle. Any ideas? Thanks for reading!

It sounds like your system might be booting from the wrong Windows option. If you're using GRUB, you could try configuring OSProber to detect all bootable options, but it seems you may need to manually remove the old HDD boot option. Here's a link for setting that up: [GRUB guide](https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/GRUB). Also, check if the BIOS is set to boot from the SSD first!
A quick fix could be to temporarily unplug the HDD, then restart your PC and make sure the SSD is set as the primary boot device. If you're not attached to Windows on that HDD, you might want to remove it afterward. Once that's sorted, plug the HDD back in and see if it interferes.
Could you explain what your BIOS shows regarding the boot options? It's important to know how many SSDs and HDDs you're working with. I've had similar issues, and sometimes the BIOS just needs the settings adjusted!
Problem solved! Thanks for the help 🙂
Check out our wiki for installation tips! Here’s a search for more info: [Linux Noobs](https://www.reddit.com/r/linux4noobs/search?q=flair%3A'installation'&sort=new&restrict_sr=on). Also, always connect via ethernet for installations, and remember to remove your boot media afterward!
Thanks, that helps! I tried OSProber, but it only recognized the old HDD Windows. I’ll check BIOS settings and see if that helps!
