Help! My Windows 11 Installation Keeps Booting to BIOS

Hey everyone! I recently built a new PC and was all set to install Windows 11. Everything was working smoothly until I got to the first restart during installation, and suddenly I found myself booting straight into the BIOS. To make matters worse, my drive isn't even showing up in the boot drive list. I've checked the drive's boot files, and they seem fine. I've even swapped the M.2 ports to see if that would help, but no luck. Just to add, my motherboard is an MSI B650M Gaming Plus WiFi and it's updated with the latest BIOS version. Any advice on how to fix this?

First off, check what’s listed in your boot drive options. Look specifically for anything labeled as Windows Boot Manager or Loader and select that if it's there. If it’s not showing, confirm that your NVMe drive is recognized in the UEFI BIOS. If it isn’t, you might need to reseat it.

Also, go to the home page of the UEFI/Bios and check the 3.3v reading. If it’s red or below 3.1, you might need to make sure the 24-pin power connector is firmly connected. Low voltage could indicate a PSU issue as well. Lastly, don't forget to check for the boot override option and try setting your NVMe as the first boot device if you find it in the list!

I checked the boot list, and I don’t see anything like that. Should I verify the CPU core voltage instead?

Yeah, make sure to check the power connections. A loose connector can definitely throw things off!
