Help! My Windows 11 Laptop Can’t Find New Wi-Fi Networks

I'm having trouble with my Windows 11 laptop. While it connects just fine to the saved Wi-Fi network, I'm trying to switch to a new provider, Spectrum, but my laptop isn't detecting the new network at all. Interestingly, my phone connects without a hitch. I've also tried connecting my mobile hotspot, but that doesn't show up either. It seems like my laptop isn't picking up any new networks. I've looked online for potential fixes and already flushed the DNS cache, reinstalled the Wi-Fi driver, and ensured Windows is up to date, but nothing has worked so far. Any ideas?

Check if your Spectrum Wi-Fi is using a DFS channel. Some laptops, like your Acer, might not support those channels. Try changing the Wi-Fi channel in your Spectrum settings to something in the range of 36-48 or 149-165 and see if that helps!

Thanks for the tip, I'll try that!

First things first, can you share the make and model of your laptop? That’ll help a lot in diagnosing the issue.

It's an Acer Aspire A515-51. I upgraded it from Windows 10 to 11 a couple of months ago. I actually have another one of the same model, and it's working fine.
