Help! My Windows 11 PC Suddenly Can’t Connect to the Internet

Hey everyone, I'm really struggling here. I have a Windows 11 PC from CLX that was running perfectly until recently. Now, it just won't connect to the internet. The strange part is that my computer shows I'm connected, and the Windows diagnostic tool doesn't indicate any issues. I've tried restarting both my PC and my router/modem several times, and have run commands in CMD to release, flush, and renew my IP. I've also reset the Winsock settings and rolled back a few updates via the advanced reboot menu. I've swapped out Ethernet cables and even uninstalled the network adapter, not to mention having my ISP come over to address a weak signal problem. Unfortunately, nothing has worked, and I can't even load simple sites like Google even though my PC says it's connected. Any suggestions would be super helpful. Thanks!

You might want to consider returning the PC if the issue persists. Sometimes hardware can be the culprit, and a replacement could save you a lot of hassle. But before you go that route, make sure you've tried replacing the Ethernet drivers as I mentioned earlier. It could be a simple fix.

Here are a few things you should try: First, make sure you're running the latest drivers for your motherboard’s Ethernet/WiFi. If that doesn’t work, check to see if the issue also occurs when you're connected via WiFi (using a dongle if necessary). If nothing seems to fix it, you might have to consider a fresh install of Windows with the appropriate drivers. As a last resort, you could invest in a dedicated network card or a USB-to-Ethernet adapter. If all else fails, contacting customer support might be your best bet!

Hey! First off, what kind of connection are you using—wired or wireless? If it's wired, try pinging your gateway (like 192.168.0.1). If that works, your local network is good. Next, try pinging 4.2.2.2 to see if you have internet access and then Google.com for DNS issues. If any of those fail, we may need to dig deeper into the problem. Just so you know, since you mentioned Ethernet cables, I'm guessing you're wired! Hope this helps!

I'm hardwired. I pinged 192.168.0.1 and that worked (4 packets sent and received). But when I pinged 4.2.2.2, I only got 3 replies—25% packet loss. Same for Google.
