I've been struggling with my Windows 11 PC, which is connected to my router via an ethernet cable. Just a few hours ago, the internet connection dropped. While my computer can detect wifi signals, it can't connect to any of them. The Windows troubleshooting tool reports that it's unable to reach the DNS server. Other devices, including another PC connected via ethernet and my mobile devices, are connected without any issue. I've tried a number of fixes, including:
- Changing the ethernet cable and trying different ports on the router
- Restarting both my router and PC multiple times
- Running several commands in command prompt, like resetting the windsock, renewing IP configurations, and flushing DNS
- Uninstalling and reinstalling the ethernet network adapter driver
- Updating to the latest driver for the ethernet adapter
- Performing a network reset
- Setting various services to automatic in the services manager
- Manually connecting to a different DNS server (this sometimes shows that I'm connected, but I can't load websites)
- Uninstalling the latest Windows update
- Modifying BIOS settings to auto-install drivers.
Here are my PC specs: ASRock B650 Steel Legend WiFi, Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060, AMD Ryzen 7 8700F 8-core processor. If there's anything else you need from me, just let me know. Also, I apologize for any mistakes in my English; it's not my first language. Thanks for your help!

It sounds like you've gone through quite the checklist already! Given the circumstances, I’d suggest using the Windows "System Restore" feature if you have it enabled. This could help revert your system to a state before the internet issues started. Just search for "Create restore point" next to the Start button, and click on "System Restore" to choose an earlier point. Hopefully, that gets your connection back up and running!

Thanks for the suggestion! I tried restoring to before the last Windows update, and while the wifi came back, the ethernet still isn’t working, and now the driver seems to be missing. I even attempted a CMOS reset since it worked for someone else, but now I can't boot into Windows at all—not sure what to do next.
