I've been facing a frustrating issue with my computer lately. For the past few days, whenever I leave my device on for a while, the RAM usage unexpectedly ramps up from around 40% to an alarming 97%. This spike occurs even when I'm not running any applications. As a result, I experience audio loss, programs crash, and the machine often gets stuck on the shutdown screen. I've checked Task Manager and didn't find any suspicious processes, but RamMap indicates there's a non-paged pool that seems off. I've recently reinstalled the latest Windows update and uninstalled NordVPN and the NVIDIA App, but the problem persists. Also, we had multiple power cuts in my area not too long ago, although I have a reliable Corsair HX1000 Platinum power supply. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

It might help to test your RAM by booting your PC with just one stick at a time. Make sure you're careful handling them since RAM is pricey! Also, check your Task Manager for any startup applications that might be running in the background, and dig into the registry to see if there’s anything unnecessary that’s being executed when your computer starts.

I used MemTest86 to check my RAM, and everything was fine. So I guess it's not that? Maybe I need to look into other settings!
