Help! My Windows 11 Update Crashed My Storage

Hey everyone! A couple of days ago, I updated to Windows 11, and now I keep getting warnings about my storage being full. I checked, and it says I have 0 bytes free, even though I had around 20 GB before the update. Since then, my computer has been crashing because of this storage issue. I removed a 90 GB game to free up space, but today I turned on my PC and got the same warning again! It seems like Windows is using up 135 GB and downloaded about 110 GB just yesterday. I heard there are issues with the latest update but haven't been able to find the specific update (KB5063878) to uninstall it. Can anyone help me figure out what's going on?

It looks like you're not alone with this issue! First, it's good to clarify that it’s probably not KB5063878 causing your problem. I recommend downloading an app like WizTree. It can scan your drive and show you what's actually taking up all that space. Running Windows Disk Cleanup might also help you clear out unnecessary files.

Yeah, definitely try running tools like Treesize Free or WinDirStat as well – they’re great for pinpointing large files. I heard the SSD issues were linked to some non-production firmware, which doesn't seem to apply to every case, but it's worth checking for updates on your SSD from the manufacturer.

I faced a similar problem after uninstalling a 90GB game too! It seems like Windows has a way of snatching up space, especially after updates. Make sure to run Disk Cleanup and check everything that can be removed!
