Hey everyone! I could really use your help. I went on a trip recently and before I left, I switched off the plug strip my computer is connected to. Now that I'm back and turned it on, my PC is starting up much slower than usual. Once I logged in, I noticed there are no Wi-Fi options available—just airplane mode.
I've tried disabling and enabling my network adapter, and even downloaded a driver from another computer to reinstall it, but that didn't fix the issue. I also plugged in a USB Wi-Fi dongle, and Windows said it was working fine, but still no Wi-Fi options to connect to. In Device Manager, my built-in Wi-Fi adapter shows that it's working, but it's listed as not connected in the network connections, indicated by a red X next to Wi-Fi. What should I do next?

Have you tried restarting your router? Sometimes that’s a quick fix for connection issues. It’s worth a shot!
Just a heads-up, before making significant changes like in the BIOS or disk setup, ensure you have backed up your data. It's critical to keep everything safe just in case something goes wrong!
Yeah, I did restart the router, but I’m still only seeing airplane mode. Other computers on the network are working fine, though. Just to add, my desktop is also taking longer to load the background when I log in, around 2 minutes, and it’s not following my usual fan settings.
