Hey folks! I'm looking to upgrade my PC build, and it has been over 8 years since my last update, so I'm a bit out of touch with the current hardware landscape. I've got a budget of £2,500 but I originally aimed for about £2,000. I'm not brand loyal, and I don't care too much about aesthetics like RGB lighting. I'd appreciate any suggestions for components to swap out for better options or if I should downgrade certain parts if the performance difference isn't worth the price. Also, I'm currently doing my homework on GPUs as there are a ton of options out there. Here's my current build link: [PCPartPicker](https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/k8fWWc). I'd love to hear your thoughts! Thanks!

Considering your budget and the fact you're mainly gaming, I'd suggest staying clear of CL30 RAM—it’s kind of overkill with an X3D chip. Instead, look into a good setup with CL40 RAM, which can perform well without breaking the bank. If you're aiming for future-proofing, a 5080 will give you awesome performance—especially if you’re looking to game at 4K eventually!
What’s your primary use for this build? If it's mostly for gaming at high resolutions, I think the 9900X3D might be overkill unless you plan to utilize it fully. I noticed that swapping to a 9800X3D with CL36 RAM could save you some cash while still providing solid performance. Also, I found a slightly cheaper build for a 5080 that could serve your gaming needs well. Check it out here: [Alternative Build](https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/wrKjfd).
I appreciate your insight! Gaming is my main focus along with streaming. I might even bump the RAM to 64GB to ensure it can handle everything smoothly.

Thanks for the tip! Currently, I’m upgrading from an i5 7600K and a 1070 Ti, and I feel like my system is starting to struggle. I'm on a 1080p 144Hz monitor, but I might look for a 1440p one soon!
