Help Needed: Frequent BSOD Crashes on Two Different PCs – Possible NVIDIA Issue?

I'm in a bit of a bind and could really use some help. I had an older PC that started crashing often with BSOD messages related to nvlddmkm.sys. It was running a GTX 1070, and since it was pretty old, I decided to upgrade. I bought a new setup, but after a couple of months, I'm experiencing the same kind of crashes. The problem occurs primarily under heavy loads like gaming or video editing, which makes me wonder if any components from my old setup are causing issues.

Here are the specs for my new build:
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5700X3D
- GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Super
- Motherboard: MSI MPG B550 Gaming Plus

I reused a few parts from my old PC:
- SSD: MSI M450 1TB (formatted and used only for storage, not OS)
- Power cable (from wall to PSU)
- WiFi card
- Monitor: Samsung C43J89x (ultrawide)

Despite trying several fixes like updating drivers, changing connections from HDMI to DisplayPort, and even rolling back GPU drivers, I'm still facing crashes that mention nvlddmkm.sys. I've attached the minidump files but I'm unsure how to read them. Could the issue be with the monitor, power cable, or something else? Any advice on next steps or how to analyze those dump files would be greatly appreciated!

I noticed some flickering right before the crashes. Is it possible your GPU is either not securely connected or is having issues with the PCIe slot? If you're using a riser cable, it might be worth testing with a direct connection. Sometimes it's the little things that cause these big problems!

That's a good point! I’ll double-check the GPU connection and make sure it's inserted directly. I didn't think about that possibility.

Have you checked your minidump files? They're crucial for figuring out what's causing the BSODs. You can find them in C:WindowsMinidump. If you can access them, zip the folder and upload it to a file sharing site. Having multiple dump files is key for accurate analysis, so make sure to gather as many as you can and check out some guides on configuring your system for small memory dumps.
