Help Needed: My Monitor Is Flickering Constantly

I've just built my first PC setup, which includes a Ryzen 5 5500 processor, a Radeon RX 6500 XT graphics card with 4GB of memory, and a 550W power supply. I'm using an Acer Nitro VG270 X1 FHD 27-inch monitor. The issue I'm facing is that sometimes the monitor flickers and the screen turns off for about 0.3 seconds before turning back on repeatedly. I'm not sure how to describe it properly, but it's really frustrating. Does anyone know how I can fix this problem? I'm feeling a bit disheartened since this is my first build.

First off, make sure that the cable connecting your monitor to the GPU is secure at both ends. A loose connection can definitely cause flickering. If everything seems tight, try swapping out the cable for a different one; it might be faulty. Lastly, if the monitor is still flickering after that, it could be a sign of it starting to fail. Have you tried testing with another monitor or GPU to see if the issue persists?

It sounds like you've got a tough situation, but it's great you're reaching out for help! Sometimes, new cables can still be defective, so definitely check those first. If everything is brand new and holding tight, it might be worth looking into the monitor settings or even trying it with another PC if possible.
