Help Needed: Upgrading to a New Graphics Card for 1440p Gaming

Hey everyone! I just got my hands on a shiny new 1440p monitor, but my current setup with a GTX 1080 isn't cutting it for smooth gameplay 😩. I usually enjoy casual games like The Sims and Stardew Valley, but I'm also into Fortnite and I'm looking to dive into games like Alan Wake 2 soon! I'm thinking about upgrading to an RTX card that can effectively handle 1440p without totally breaking the bank. My budget is around £150 to £300 max. Any recommendations? I'm still learning about the tech side, so easy-to-understand suggestions would be super helpful! Thanks a lot! x

I upgraded from a GTX 1070 to a 3070 when it came out, and the performance boost was incredible! Just a heads up though, I had to upgrade my power supply too.

That sounds like such an awesome upgrade! ✨ I want something similar but hope to avoid getting a new PSU if I can. I'm not as tech-savvy, haha!
