Help Needed with FPS Issues and RAM Problems on My Gaming PC

Hey everyone! I've built my own PC for a few years now, and I recently started playing Marvel Rivals. Previously, I didn't have any FPS issues with games like Valorant or GTA V, but now I'm running into some serious problems. My FPS on Marvel Rivals keeps fluctuating between 40 to 65, and it rarely goes above that for more than a second.

Also, I'm having RAM troubles. I notice that a significant amount of my RAM (8.1 out of 16 GB) is hardware reserved at times, which makes the game laggy. I've tried various fixes, but it seems hit or miss on which one will work temporarily. Sometimes my system only recognizes 8GB of RAM, but I can eventually fix it after a few attempts. Today, one of my RAM sticks just stopped working, which is really frustrating. Even when things are running smoothly, my memory usage is high (over 50%).

Here are my specs:
- CPU: Ryzen 5 2600
- GPU: MSI RTX 3050
- RAM: Kingston Fury Beast 2x8GB
- SSD: WD Green 500GB (for Windows)
- Hard Disk: WD Blue 2TB
- Monitor: 75Hz (set to maximum)

I know my parts aren't the most compatible, and I plan to upgrade my CPU later, but I really need some advice on RAM upgrades and how to fix these issues. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

It sounds like your RAM brand might be causing issues. I've had similar problems with certain brands before. I recommend removing one of your RAM sticks to identify which stick could be faulty. Once you find the problematic one, buy a new stick.

Also, since you're considering upgrading, looking into AM4 or AM5 setups might be a good idea for a future-proof build!

I tried removing the stick, but now I just need some suggestions for new RAM. I’m thinking about switching to a 2x16GB setup, maybe G.Skill Ripjaws V. What do you think?
