Hey everyone! I need some assistance with a problem I'm facing while replacing the screen on my iPhone 12 Pro. I bought an LCD screen, but I'm having trouble getting it to fit the frame. There are some hinges on the back of the LCD, possibly for screws, but I don't see any holes for those screws on the phone's frame. Can I just remove the hinges or is there a different solution? Also, I noticed that the front camera glass and the face ID system are installed in the phone's frame rather than on the new LCD. What's the best way to handle this situation? I've watched a few tutorial videos and managed to swap out the old screen, but these issues are making it really difficult. Any help would be appreciated!

It sounds like you might have a non-genuine LCD, which often happens with aftermarket parts. The original iPhone 12 Pro uses an OLED display, and if your new screen is LCD, it might not fit properly. Honestly, I wouldn't recommend using LCD screens—they're usually lower quality than OLED. But if you're set on using that screen, your best bet might be to just remove those hinges. They could just be causing the misalignment. As for your camera and face ID components, you'll likely need to transfer those parts from the old screen to the new one carefully. I suggest looking up specific guides for that transfer process.
I’ve done this before! You can use a heat gun or a hairdryer to soften the adhesive and gently pry them off. Just be patient with it!
I get where you're coming from! I actually have an LCD on my phone right now, and while it fits well for basic uses like texting and calls, I have experienced some fitting issues too. If the hinges are your main problem, check if they can be adjusted or carefully removed. Also, when dealing with the camera glass, you might need to carefully lift it out using a thin tool. Take your time with it to avoid damaging the screen or the phone. Good luck!
Just a heads up, many replacement screens can be a hit or miss. If this LCD isn’t fitting, it could be a sign of quality issues. Make sure you’re using the right model, as even slight variations can cause problems. If all else fails, consider checking with a repair shop; sometimes it saves more hassle in the long run!

How do you suggest I remove the camera glass and those hinges without damaging anything? I’m super nervous about that part!
