I'm really struggling with syncing issues in Outlook for a client who manages multiple calendars from a shared mailbox. They frequently need to move appointments between these calendars, but the new Outlook and webmail versions don't allow for drag and drop, which is frustrating. The Classic version keeps going out of sync across four different computers connected to the same server. When this happens, we usually end up having to rebuild the profile, toggle shared calendar settings, or clear the cache. We've tried both delegating the shared mailbox and sharing calendars directly, but nothing seems to stick. While turning off caching helps with sync, it slows everything down to an unacceptable degree for the client. Does anyone have any suggestions for making Outlook work better, or know of alternative software that can handle scheduling for eight teams while allowing easy movement of scheduled items?

It sounds like they might not be using the best tool for what they need. Outlook can be tricky when trying to do more than what it's designed for, especially with sharing calendars among multiple users. My suggestion would be to look into tools specifically designed for managing team schedules. Tools like ClickUp or Asana might offer better functionality for moving tasks between teams.
I agree! I've used Asana before, and it allows for easy task management across multiple teams. Plus, the drag-and-drop feature is pretty seamless!
