I just tried to install Ubuntu on my 2013 Mac Pro trashcan and everything seemed to go fine during the installation. When I finished, it prompted me to either continue testing or reboot, so I opted to reboot. Unfortunately, now it just freezes on the Ubuntu loading screen. I've heard of others getting Linux to work on the Mac Pro, so I'm not sure what's going wrong with my installation. It does boot fine from the flash drive, though. Any thoughts on what I could do to get it running?

Are you using legacy or UEFI boot? That's a common issue that can affect the install.
If your Mac Pro has an HDD instead of an SSD, it might take a while to boot up, especially if encrypted. Just let it sit for a few minutes to see if it eventually loads. If it doesn't, you might want to consider trying Linux Mint or MX Linux instead, which work great on older Macs!
It has an NVMe drive, and I let it sit for an hour without any luck. It seems like others have gotten it to work, so I'm puzzled about the problems I'm having.
Honestly, it does sound like your device is a trashcan. A bit harsh, but sometimes hardware can be tricky!
I'm on UEFI. I initially had no luck with Ubuntu, but I tried Mint and it installed without issues. I even attempted Ubuntu again, but it keeps failing to boot. I noticed a 'no boot found' message when it first tries to start up.
