I just built a new PC and installed Windows 11 to test the hardware. After that, I created a partition to install Ubuntu. However, when I launch the Ubuntu installer, it tells me that there's "no wired connection detected." I've already checked the Ethernet cable and it seems to be fine because I can connect to the internet in Windows 11. I want to include the necessary Nvidia drivers during the installation process, so I don't want to skip this step. Any ideas on how to fix this connection issue?

That sounds frustrating! One option is to boot back into Windows, identify your network device, and then find a Linux distribution that supports it out-of-the-box. Alternatively, you could download the network drivers onto a USB drive and install them manually during the Ubuntu setup, but that might not be straightforward.
Another quick fix is to try tethering your phone for a temporary internet connection while you're in the installer. It might help you get past the connection issue.
Thanks for the suggestion! I managed to get the Wi-Fi connected to set everything up. But now I'm stuck with the manual installation for the wired network—I've been lost in all the jargon trying to read tutorials online. It's a bit overwhelming!
