I'm a bit confused about my CPU temperatures. I checked HWINFO64 and here's what I found: my Ryzen 7 7800X3D shows an idle temperature of 46.2 degrees for CPU (tctl/Tdie) and an average of 45.6 degrees for the CPU Die. However, the CPU VDDCR_SOC VRM temperature is at 57 degrees. Should I focus on certain temperatures, and what exactly is the CPU VDDCR_SOC VRM? Why is its temperature so much higher than the others?

VRM stands for Voltage Regulator Module, and those are the components around the CPU socket. 57 degrees at idle does seem high, but remember that idle temps can be misleading. The Tdie represents your CPU die temperature, while Tctl is what the fan controller uses to adjust fan speeds; it’s usually set higher than die temperature for effective cooling. So, don't stress too much about the idle VRM temp yet!
So when judging idle temps, should I consider the VRM temperature as a guideline?
