Hey everyone, I'm running into a big issue with my computer. I originally had 16GB of RAM (two 8GB sticks) and decided to upgrade to 32GB by adding another 8GB stick of the same model. However, when I installed the new RAM, my PC wouldn't start at all. I removed the new sticks and tried to boot it with just the original ones, but it still won't start. What should I do to get my computer working again?

One more thing to consider: was your PC completely turned off when you swapped the RAM? It’s important to have it powered down before making any changes!
First things first, make sure the new RAM is seated properly in the slots. Sometimes they can be a bit stubborn and not click in place. Also, double-check that you're using the same slots as before—ideally, you want to use the 1 & 3 or 2 & 4 slots for dual channel support.
It might be worth considering whether your system is running in single channel or dual channel mode. Using sticks in the right configuration can make a difference. Sometimes, when new RAM is added, it can require the motherboard to retrain. So, try taking out the new stick and just go back to the old RAM to see if that works. You could also clear the CMOS by removing the battery temporarily.
You could be dealing with faulty RAM as well. Although it’s a bummer, it happens. If you have access to another machine, it might be a good idea to test your new RAM there to rule out any issues.
Just a thought—is your PC a laptop or a desktop? Some models have different RAM configurations, and knowing that could help troubleshoot better. Also, when you've added or changed RAM, the initial boot can take longer as the system goes through a memory training process.
