I just scored a 5070ti at MSRP and now I'm on the hunt for a CPU to go with it. My budget is around $250, and I want something that can handle both gaming and productivity tasks like compiling code and building applications. Any recommendations?

Do you have a motherboard already? If not, you might want to look for a CPU + motherboard combo. Microcenter usually has good deals on those. If you already have a motherboard, just check the socket type and size for compatibility!
If you're looking at around $250, the Ryzen 7600X is a fantastic option. It’s a really solid all-rounder for both gaming and productivity tasks. Just make sure you check if it works with your motherboard, or if you need to get one along with the CPU!
Is that $250 in USD? Also, wondering if there’s anything worth considering from Intel instead?
For your budget, the Ryzen 7700X or 7600X are great choices. It might be best to build the rest of your setup first and then decide which CPU fits best for your specific needs.
Check out the Ryzen 7700 if you’re doing more productivity work along with gaming. If you mainly game, the Ryzen 5600X works just fine and can save you some cash!
If you're looking for a combo, there's a deal for a Ryzen 9700X with a B650 motherboard and RAM for around $400. If you can stretch your budget a bit more, you might even grab a 7800X3D too!
