I just upgraded my laptop, an Acer Predator Helios 18, to 128GB of RAM. My old setup had 16GB running at 5600MHz seamlessly, but the new sticks are not reaching that speed. I've been advised to enable XMP, but I can't find the option. I've tried booting while holding FN and TAB to unlock XMP, but it hasn't worked. Given that my old RAM functioned at 5600MHz, I thought this new RAM should too. Any suggestions on what to do next besides sending it back?

I looked into it and according to Acer's official site, the Helios 18 only supports up to 64GB of RAM. However, it should ideally support 5600MHz. Have you checked the motherboard specs for your exact model?
Are you sure your laptop can handle that much RAM? Sometimes laptops have strict limitations on maximum memory capacity, even if the RAM itself should support higher speeds. You might want to double-check the specs.
Yeah, it’s running fine, just not at that 5600MHz speed.
