Help! Windows 11 Won’t Update or Reset due to Blue Screen Error

I'm having some serious issues with my Windows 11. It won't download any updates, so I decided to reset my system to do a clean installation. However, when the reset process starts, I get a blue screen with the message "A required device is not connected or inaccessible" and the error code "0xc000000d." Has anyone experienced this before or know how to fix it? Just for context, my computer specs include a Ryzen 5 5600 CPU, ASUS Rog B550 motherboard, 32GB RAM, an RTX 3060 GPU, one M.2 SSD, and one HDD alongside another SSD.

To tackle that blue screen issue, you might want to check for any crash dump files. If you can access Windows normally or even in Safe Mode, head over to C:WindowsMinidump and look for any files there. If you find them, zip the folder and upload it to a file-sharing site, as Reddit tends to blacklist a lot of hosts. Having multiple dump files is helpful for deep analysis. If you need more details on creating these files, check out a guide on configuring Windows for small memory dumps.

That sounds like a solid plan! I used catbox.moe the last time I had a similar issue, it's pretty easy to navigate. Good luck!

If you're struggling to reset your PC, you could try reinstalling Windows 11 using a USB stick. Just create a bootable USB and boot from it. It’s usually straightforward, but make sure to back up your important files first just in case!

I have the same problem! Trying to access the BIOS is tricky, but I've heard you should keep tapping the F2 or DEL key as your computer boots up.

Just a heads up — making any changes in your BIOS settings can lead to data loss if you're not careful. Be sure you have reliable backups before making any alterations!

You can also try running the System File Checker. Open Command Prompt as an administrator and type in 'sfc /scannow'. This process will scan for system file issues and may help resolve the updating problem you're facing. Make sure to give it some time to finish running!
