Hey everyone! So I recently updated my Windows 11 to the 22H2 version because it said my current version had reached its end of life. After updating, I encountered a blue screen of death, but after a restart, everything seemed fine. However, the update failed, and then I got a black screen that wouldn't go away even after restarting.
Here's what I've tried:
- Booting into recovery mode via the HP BIOS, but that didn't help.
- Attempted to open Task Manager and use the Windows + R shortcut, but nothing worked.
- I even tried installing elementary OS from a flash drive, but ended up with a black screen. I have another flash drive with Ubuntu, but I faced the same issue.
- I managed to boot Ubuntu in safe graphics mode, but I couldn't get any response despite having a command line.
- I also have another hard drive with Pop!_OS installed, but after waiting for 20 minutes, I only got a gray screen.
I think I have a backup of my data from March, and there's also a USB drive with Ubuntu Server. I really don't know where to go from here—any advice?

You should definitely consider restoring from your backup, as that might resolve the issues you're having. Also, it might help to know what CPU you're using—sometimes hardware compatibility can affect how updates install. Good luck!
I believe my CPU is a Ryzen 4600G, but I’m not sure how to restore from a backup since it’s not showing up in the boot manager.
