I'm having a bit of a conundrum after upgrading my graphics card. I recently swapped out my RTX 3070 Ti for a Gigabyte RTX 4090 on my setup that includes an AMD Ryzen 9 5900X, ASUS ROG STRIX B550-F GAMING (WI-FI II), and a 1000W Hydro Ti Pro power supply. After installing the new card, I'm getting a white VGA light and no screen input when I connect my HDMI cable to the GPU. I tried removing the GPU and connecting the HDMI to the motherboard, but the white VGA light stays on. What's puzzling is that everything works fine when I revert back to my old GPU. Could there be a problem with the new card, or is there something else I should check?

Have you checked if your PSU has the right 12V cable? If you had to get one separately, it's best to use a cable from the same brand as the PSU for compatibility. It's a common issue that can cause problems like this one.
It might be that your old NVIDIA drivers are causing a conflict. Try uninstalling them using your old GPU, then power off and unplug your PSU. Clear the CMOS, insert the new GPU, and power on. Finally, download the latest drivers for your RTX 4090. This process can help resolve driver issues that block the new card from functioning properly.
I had a similar issue every time I changed GPUs on this motherboard. What worked for me was using a different monitor with the HDMI port on the new GPU. I don't know why, but it helped me bypass the VGA light. Also, make sure to use DDU to remove the old GPU drivers completely before installing the new one!
Make sure to completely remove all old NVIDIA drivers with the display still connected to your previous GPU. Then switch to the new GPU and reboot. After you get it working, be sure to reinstall the drivers for your RTX 4090!

Yes, I'm using the 12V cable that came with my PSU, so that shouldn't be the issue.
